Gone with the Windfall: You just inherited $1,000,000 from an aunt you didn’t even know existed. What’s the first thing you buy (or otherwise use the money for)?
If it were real, I would think this is some kind of a devil’s trap.
Anyway, this one’s easy.
The first and foremost thing I would do: buy me and my family a house and lot.
Apparently, we do not own a house here in the city, or anywhere in the province. We’re just renting. It doesn’t have to be big, or fancy, or filled with expensive and lavish things — like that of a mansion. I want it to be neat, simple, and just enough.
Secondly, I would pay all the bills, so that my parents would finally cease their stressing-over regarding money affairs.
Third, I would want my family to invest in a business. I don’t actually know what kind of business it would be. I hate things wherein you’re forced to think a lot about money. I’m leaving this to mom.
And if there’s any money left…
I would want to build a small music school for those kids who can’t afford to engage in this hobby. I’ve always wanted to do this.
Also, I want to build a room — a spacious one where you can find all sorts of musical instruments, plus, professional recording tools. So basically, a home band and recording studio.
Also, it wouldn’t hurt so much to buy myself, my family, and friends a little luxury. Perhaps, a trip to some of my favorite places. Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, Paris, Amsterdam, Singapore…
You know what…fuck it. There’s no way I’m getting money that big —
Unless I’m one of those thieves working for the Philippine government.
